Stepping up in the world of Wireless.

I just took delivery of my new Android Galaxy S from T-Mobile. This should be a fun transition from my formerly smart phone to my new really smart phone. This Android has FLASH capability, so I can view our walking tours from www.YodioTours.com The Android offers so much more flexibility for delivery of our tours than the iPhone format.

I'll tell you more after I've gotten the phone up and running.

Victory.....victory at last!

Well it may not be a victory, but it is a celebration that after a long wait we can now say that Anroid handset devices are becoming FLASH capable. The meaning to Yodio Tours is that our library of Seattle audio/photo tours can now be viewed on Andriod phones.

Here is a photo of a Samsung working on the T-Mobile network and using the Android platform to display one of our Seattle tours. This particular tour is Seattle's Chinatown, but you can view a complete list of the current tours offered by visiting www.YodioTours.com

Right now, we're headed for the nearest suitable joint to celebrate this coming of age for Android devices.

Squeeze a Yodio into your Tweet

The voice/photo messages created with Yodio can be easily.....and very quickly shared via Twitter. The key is to use a URL shortener (bitly.com, tinyurl.com, tr.im, etc.) to embed a link to your personalized message into a Tweet. You can link to the a player page on the Yodio site, or you can link to a page where you have embedded your message into your blog or personal web page.

These channels of distribution just keep mushrooming. But remember the availability of all thise distribution tools merely brings home the point that the core of all this low cost message distribution is a worthwhile message. Yodio offers a way to combine the vivid illustration of a digital photograph with the powerful message expression using your voice.

Yodio - Radio Show "Business Off the Beaten Path" 46 min.

Rich Media Resonates on Blogs

The results are clear for yodio. When we provide a very easy way to combine voice with photos, the result is Your Blog with a ‘Face’ - one of the main benefits that I’ve noticed about these "rich media" postings is that they give your blog a more personal edge.

Those people visiting your blog get to see and hear what you’re like, what gets you going, and why you care. Those blog visitors can come away from their engagement with you (via your blog) feeling a different kind of connection than they get when merely reading your comments. Whether it is Yodio or YouTube, these forms of rich media create more connection with your visitor's senses. Our goal at Yodio is to make this remarkably easy to accomplish -- you are ready to publish rich media to your blog if you have a cell phone and a digital camera along with your internet connection.
